In the name of ALLAH, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, Peace be unto you Welcome to MJ’s Kitchen & today’s recipe is Chana Pulao, Before we start our recipe I would like to request you to subscribe my channel if not done before. & turn on the notification bell icon. Let’s start the pulao recipe. To make Chana Pulao we need: 750 gram Rice (washed & soaked in water for ½ hour) 250 gram Chickpeas (soaked for overnight & boiled adding salt) 1 tbsp Whole Garam Masala 2~3 tbsp Mixed Pickle, 1 medium size Onion (sliced) 2 medium size Tomatoes (sliced) 4 Green chilies (chopped), ½ cup Oil, 1 tsp Garlic Powder, 1 tsp Ginger Powder, can be substituted with Ginger Garlic paste 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds (crushed) 1 tsp Turmeric, 1 tbsp Red Pepper Flakes & Salt to taste turn on the flame & add oil to the pan 1 medium size onion (sliced) fry the onion until light brown onion is lightly brown, now add whole garam masala & fry it for 1 minute now adding sliced tomatoes & green chili, tomatoes are soften, now adding all dry spices, salt & red pepper flakes, ginger & garlic powder, crushed coriander & turmeric, add a little water, & fry the spices for 1 minute. spices are well fried now add boiled chickpeas & pickle fry it for 1~2 minutes chickpeas are also well fried with spices now add water now cover it, add rice once water starts boiling water level should be 1 inch above rice. water is near to boil, now add soaked rice. mix it cover & let it cook mix the rice once water evaporates cover & simmer for 15 minutes at low flame. 15 minutes are done, now turn off the flame Our Chana Pulao is ready.
