How Carbs and Sugar Can Add to Your Waistline

Hi, this is Dr. Chen. Welcome to another Fit Tip. Here is some good news. A new study shows that certain carbohydrates are necessary for healthy weight loss. But which ones are good and which ones are bad? Carbs are necessary to provide energy for all basic functions of the body, including brain function. And when the stomach digests food, the carbohydrates, which consist of sugars and starches in the food, break down into another type of sugar, called glucose. To store the glucose, your body uses a hormone called insulin. The insulin is released quickly to remove the sugar from the bloodstream and transfer into your cells. Now, here is the problem. The body’s capacity to store glucose is limited. When the cells are full, the excess glucose is converted by the liver into fatty acids—that’s right—fat! and then it’s returned to the bloodstream, where it’s taken throughout your body and stored wherever you tend to store fat cells, typically stomach, hips, thighs, and butt. The bad carbs are highly processed or refined sugars in foods like cereals, white bread, cake, and cookies. These will spike blood sugar and raise insulin levels quickly, causing greater fat gain. Complex carb sources are the good carbs including whole-grain breads, vegetables, and beans. These are digested more slowly, releasing glucose into the bloodstream gradually keeping insulin levels lower. They also deliver fiber, as well as valuable amounts of vitamins and minerals. Sunrider has products that have good complex carbs, such as our VitaShake®, SunBar®, and NuPuffs®, that are designed to help with healthy weight loss and good nutrition. Now, although choosing healthy foods is important, there is a way to enjoy foods and beverages high in carbs and sugar. After all, these foods taste good! Our Sunrider supplement VitaTaste® makes this possible. VitaTaste® is an all-natural dietary supplement specially formulated to help inhibit absorption of sugar and simple carbohydrates by the body.* This effect is done by blocking access to the receptors in the intestines that normally absorb or attach to sugars.* Simply taking 2–3 capsules before your meals can inhibit absorption of carbs and sugars by the body.* Now, you can “have your cake and eat it, too.” But remember, for best results maintaining a healthy weight, using VitaTaste® in conjunction with a balanced diet and regular exercise is optimal. 1. Thanks for the Hungarian legend, useful information was obtained. We are looking forward to the next or the previous Hungarian inscriptions videos too.

  2. It is so wonderful to see VitaTaste still available to us all. To experience how well VitaTaste works open a capsule placing some of the herbs in your mouth, distributing it through out your mouth the best you can . . . you will need a swig of water to wash down the taste as it is very herby. To complete the experiment, take a bite of your most favorite candy bar. Is that the taste you remember? If you can't taste the sugar you can't react to it in the same way. Now you know how VitaTaste can help with digestion of simple sugars and you can prepare for them with VitaTaste 😀
