To make red velvet protein smoothies you will need… three-quarters of a cup of cherries. A half a cup of non-fat greek yogurt. A half a cup of no sugar added cranberry juice. Ice. One frozen banana. A half a cup of frozen raspberries. One scoop of chocolate protein powder. Two tablespoons of beet puree. One teaspoon of cocoa powder. And a little spinach. Roast two small beets. Wrap in foil and roast in a four hundred degrees Fahrenheit oven for one hour. Peel and dice. Puree the beet in a food processor. You can probably skip this step, but I pressed the beet puree through a fine sieve to remove any lumps. Rinse, pit and slice the cherries. Add the frozen banana into the blender. Then add the raspberries. Add the cherries, spinach and cocoa powder. Add the chocolate protein powder, beet puree, greek yogurt, cranberry juice and ice. Then blend. Enjoy!
