I think we’re gonna see somebody invent something new like Dorian did. When Dorian walked on the stage we never saw that.. Like what the hell is this? We never saw that kind of mass and size. There was a whole bunch of guys that could have possibly won the title.. It’s also a barrier to get over.. Could it really be me? Could I be the best in the world at my my chosen sport? It was that barrier, and then eventually I got over that like.. Why the hell not? It’s gotta be somebody.. And I don’t think anyone is training harder than me. And I always had that inside of me.. I don’t think anyone could have done anymore, so that gives you a lot of strength. This year is my first Mr. Olympia contest And people might think, well.. He’s gotta be overwhelmed by the occasion and intimidated.. I believe in myself and I come here to show everybody what I’ve done. When Dorian Yates showed up in ’93 he was a transformed bodybuilder that was unbeatable. I was the first guy to compete at the Mr. Olympia in condition over 250 pounds. Dorian was taking bodybuilding to a whole new level of impression.. People were just getting overwhelmed with his size. I had this drive and I had this system of high intensity heavy training Which have gotten me from a backstreet basement gym in Birmingham in England to be Mr. Olympia. I was always covered up.. I wasn’t doing it for anyone else. I kinda didn’t wanna show anybody because it wasn’t ready yet. It’s like an artist with his painting.. They don’t want anyone to look at that shit till it’s finished. You gotta get ANGRY You gotta PUSH You gotta VISUALIZE whatever helps you get through that set. He has a heart of a lion.. And I doubt if anyone trains harder than this guy. When he does a set.. He does one for momma, the babies.. EVERYBODY. This guy is a FIRST CLASS. And a MONSTER at 260 pounds.. Better than ever before… Mr. DORIAN YATES!! I look back and I got a tremendous respect for this young guy.. Because all the odds were stacked against. No family support, background and encouragements.. Living on my own in a counselor state. Just so far away So I was just dreaming about it.

  1. New vid of Dorian Yates. More bbers vids coming! Working on them
''I'm not really good at knowing where 85 or 90 percent is. I only know where ZERO and HUNDRED percent is.'' -Dorian Yates #AllOrNothing
Song is Robert Slump – Supernova

  2. Outstanding O and personality. Genuine, authentic, strong minded, fearless, Independent, and consistent. When you become role model for his own competition, you know you have reached that level.

  3. Best back and calves in bodybuilding to this date. And most "grainy" look ever that aspect of bodybuilding is totally underrated.

  4. Today’s best are nowhere near this guy for mass and conditioning. They may have a few extra pounds on him but no one has that ripped, dry, grainy look

  5. I remember seeing the photos in flex magazine, and saying oh —- look at this guy and that was his first title defense, after that for everyone else it was like who coming second because Dorian is first again

  6. I must’ve watched this video 1000 times since it came out 😂 when you hear bodybuilders today talk of dedication and hardcore training, most of them don’t have a clue!

  7. Yates wasn't the biggest. Ferrigno was noticeably larger on stage. Kovacs was a monster. But Yates had the entire package.

  8. Phil Heath looks like shit… like a bad science experiment gone wrong. Dorian may have used anabolics too but he did everything just right. There is no doubt that Dorian and the bodybuilders of his era just "looked better"

  9. The game changer, but not to the right direction in my opinion because it was size over everything else and lead us to the blob type bodies of today's professional bodybuilders. They went along with size because it was a way to judge a competition with the less possible complains, but through the years the bodies became enormous and grotesque.Too much HGH and steroids.

  10. Once he does the front lat spread GAME OVER!!!!! he would of destroyed Phil the GUT Heath or anyone in this era, it would of been child abuse!!!!!!

  11. Peak conditioned mass on a relatively tall frame. It didn’t get better than that after Yates. Dorian had a muscle quality you simply don’t see anymore.

  12. Hands down the biggest and widest lats in the history of bodybuilding! Truly overshadowed everybody and appropriately named "The Shadow"!
Don't know if we'll ever see someone with that kind of lats ever again!

  13. Only weak points on this Dorian was his chest and bicep peak. Beyond that, this guy had everything working for him.

  14. THAT fucking Lat spread at 3:05………..FUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! we don't even see that today,..un-fucking real, sometimes it's easy to forget how monsterous he was in his prime,..unbeatable…..In one swoop he completely broke from the bodybuilder's of the past (arnold, lee haney, ..etc) and created the new beast standard.

  15. He started this whole mass thing?? No wonder these new bodybuilders look like "freaks" …Only Dorian Yates matched that type of physique

  16. I follow his workout split of 4 days training in the week and match the chest with biceps, shoulders, trapps & triceps, leg day and back and it has made a difference

  17. I think when dorian was born he came out in a lat spread pose. Its as natural for him as for the rest of us scratching our asses.

  18. When dorian walked on the stage in 93' with his arms flared out his conditioning was insane, he looked far more in shape then his competitors.

  19. It is because of Dorian you have all the guts now, he introduced human growth hormone into bodybuilding, and now the open olympia you have pregnant bodybuilders, why are you praising dorian?
