VITAMIN D3 DEFICIENCY – Symptoms & Foods Sources of Vitamin D3 – By Dr Jyoti Chabria

Hi, I am Jyothi Chabria. I would be discussing
about vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 is a very very important, unassuming vitamin. In fact vitamin
D is the sunshine vitamin. Today its very very rampant in lot of people, lot of patients
we see, all age groups having a vitamin D3 deficiency. This can lead to lot of things
because lack of vitamin D3 can result in depression, it can delay weight loss, it can inhibit fertility,
it could cause hormonal imbalances. So, a lot of things are being picked up because
of a vitamin D3 deficiency. How do you correct a vitamin deficiency? A D3 deficiency is corrected
by natural sunlight one, but in terms of diet we would recommend a calcium and D3 combination
because calcium is required for vitamin D3 absorption. And the foods rich in calcium
and vitamin D3 would include things like again foxtail millet and fingertail millet, milk
of course, milk and milk products. In fact whey protein which is the protein which is
found as you set yogurt and the liquid that is set on the yogurt is nothing but whey protein
which is one of the richest sources of protein which is even being used in pharma industry
today, actually. And other sources of calcium would be things like sesame seeds, all the
nuts like walnut, almond, figs, they are all iron and calcium rich foods basically. A lot
of importance is all being given to drumstick leaves today, because drumstick leaf is also
one of the sources of vitamin D3 and calcium. And for calcium absorption again, it is important
to have vitamin C. So, a little helping of things like Indian gooseberry which is amla
is also recommended, which helps or enhances vitamin D3 absorption.

  1. Thankyou sooo much for this video. I got some vital information for my issue and my nutritionist was of absolutely no help and I am highly D3 deficient

  2. My moms doctors told us we needed vitamin D3. We can not drink cows milk. I am severely allergic to soy milk and she hates soy milk. We drink almond milk but I feared it wasn't enough. We now take a vegan based chewable vitamin D3 and my back has never felt better. My mood is up too.

  3. Im not understanding what you are trying to say, why not learn to speak the English language. Will the D3 improve your linguistic skills?
